Our annual showcase in Munich is coming up soon and we’re busy selecting items to exhibit at this prestigious event which combines The Munich Show with Gemworld. Here is a sneak peak of a trio of pieces which will be shown alongside our latest gemstone offerings. Follow and keep an eye on our social media for the very latest news.
Our collections of unique objets d’art all feature precious gemstones. We are delighted to share another piece by leading master carver Alfred Zimmermann: a delightful pair of rock crystal polar bears engaged in a play fight. These have been carved from a single piece of natural rock crystal and reveal Zimmermann’s exceptional skill with animal sculptures, each of the precious bears being imbued with its own distinctive features and character. The piece is both eminently collectable and highly topical and measures 207 mm in height.
We will also be showing a rare rendition of Jesus in precious rock crystal – to our knowledge this is one of the largest complete rock crystal carvings of Christ on the Cross in the world. It is a technical feat to preserve the arms in particular in one piece, they are so often partly or entirely broken in the carving process then inserted later. This sensitive rock crystal sculpture rests on a rock crystal chlorite sphere which in turn rests on an 18 carat gold base. Christ is set against an approx. 23,815 carat natural black tourmaline cross, hand carved from a gemstone which originated in Pakistan. This accomplished and moving piece was created for Henn in Germany and is 680 mm high.
Henn of London are presenting some superb pieces on our stand including their Tulip Pendant. We were delighted to find that this exquisite jewel featured on the advance publicity materials for this year’s Munich Show.
This perfectly composed pink topaz pendant is inspired by a graceful tulip poised to open. The luxuriantly deep hue of the 10.36 ct pear-shaped Brazilian gemstone at its heart hints at the poetic movement of this bold yet delicate flower as it prepares to reveal the full beauty of its densely coloured petals.
Each element of Henn of London’s circular design breathes harmony and light, with fine hand engraving and soft toned enamelling lending subtle textures, while luminous diamonds highlight its elegant lines. An exquisite contemporary jewel with Art Nouveau sensitivities by Henn of London.
We look forward to seeing existing and new clients and friends at the show. Find us in Hall B6, Stand 340 at The Munich Show which runs from 25-27 October 2019.
