The Henn family has built a highly respected international reputation for rare coloured gemstones and these are at the very heart of all our activities. Whether you’re a private collector, a jeweller, an artist or a museum we will seek out the absolute best for you. We might even already have what you’re looking for in our collections. Here we’ve focused on some superlative sets of gems rather than individual gemstones. Finding pieces that work perfectly together is particularly important for jewellery designers.

Our first handpicked group comprises some top class green tourmalines originating from various countries. Clockwise from left: a cushion-shaped perfectly clean and desirably blue-green tourmaline from Namibia; exceptional in both colour and size, a luminescent and beautifully clear oval tourmaline from a recently reopened historic mine in Brazil; an important and utterly sumptuous octagonal Golconda tourmaline showcasing the most attractive blue-green hue, acquired from a private collection in which it has been kept since its discovery in Brazil; and an exquisitely matched pair of oval tourmalines from Afghanistan which exhibit covetable shades of blue-green.

The second ensemble is a resplendent trio of rare red-pink tourmalines, all exhibiting the same clean tone in a seldom found hue. These are remarkable for their highly desirable colour as well as their size and their availability as a cohesive collection of gemstones.

Our final image features a rare, large and very well matched pair of peridots. These are all the more precious due to their origin, from the Pakistan region of Kashmir, and their exceptional size as well as their availability as a duo. These supreme quality gemstones enjoy a clarity and intensity which is second to none and have been cut to a faceted pear shape to enhance their natural beauty. With a well-documented provenance these exquisite peridots are destined to star in a prime collection.
